another aborted signal....to say this is getting frustrating would be an understatement. I am losing faith in TA in these markets it has to be said...This should have been good for more than a one week move.
Edit...patience. ...grasshopper :)
Over the years quite a bit, plus I have a course by David Bowden. However it is such a broad area I've probably only scratched the surface. Many "experts" seem to focus on a narrow aspect of his work and ignore vast areas.Bowden said the swing charts were the bread and butter and everything else was bells and whistles . my take is that it is about balancing price with time but that some of the methods to do this are quite esoteric and hard to comprehend .Bowden also said that his students tended to focus on different areas according to their predilection eg some loved to trade off squares, others rarely used them.
Im not an astrologer also, but Planetforecast got me into it and just starting to scratch the surface. I picked up Bradley Cowan's book the pentagonal time cycle theory and many references to Gann and his work. His work is influenced a lot by GANN
yo cr, think about it, traditional ta has to be taken with a pinch of,false breakouts are an easy way to take money of the masses......rahoo rahoo rahoo
true Po but a TAS on a weekly scale isn't a head and shoulders and it should be reflecting technicals in the purest sense....we have to accept the CB's are screwing up a lot of stuff imv
How much have you delved into GANNS work?
ReplyDeleteI know his work is hard and complicated, and all things must come together perfectly.
Sometimes I just rely on my basic analysis that helps me while I learn his system.

ReplyDeleteI like all all the above: swing trading time, price and squares. ;-)
DeleteAnd remember, all good things come to those who wait. </:-o
A chart I just put together with some clues from the currency complex: http://mediacdn.disqus.com/uploads/mediaembed/images/414/6626/original.jpg
The technique above is not a Gann technique but it is from a Gann 'expert' Bill McLaren
ReplyDeleteThen thereis astrology ,which Gann rarely mentioned but underlies most of his cycles....I am no astrologer :-)
