Just read on ZH that whenever given the opportunity, historically people vote for independence 88% of the time. Interesting times. I know back in 2009 there was a lot of heat in the Vermont secessionist camp- I won't be a bit surprised when the economy falters next time that they will. A few others lean that way too, Wyoming and Montana come to mind.
