For our overseas readers who may be unfamiliar with the scandals that are erupting here in the USA over the past two weeks (as we head into this current Uranus-Pluto passage), they include (but are not limited to) the following three developments. First, the new hearings on Benghazi terrorist attack on the U.S., embassy on September 11, 2012 that killed four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens, where high-level officials have now stepped forward to offer testimony that refutes the narratives of both the White House and State department. Second, the revelation that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS, the USA tax collection agency) has targeted groups (that were opposed to President Obama) for special auditing and delays in their request for tax-exempt status during the 2012 elections. Pluto (in Capricorn) rules taxes and government tax agencies, and of course, the revelations of this cover-up and the subsequent termination of those in charge of IRS departments fall under the domain of Pluto. Third, the revelation that the U.S Justice department seized phone records of the Associated Press (AP). These intrusions by government agencies into the financial records, phone records, and the disclosure (leaks) to the press of donors of groups that oppose the President’s agenda are creating a picture of a government that is thuggish, intrusive, and not above using its powers to create discomfort or even punish those perceived to be its enemies. This is exactly the sort of thing that the President does not need in order to solidify his role to the USA public as someone who serves all the people of the country, and not just those who support him.
